Dear Supporter -
2020 has been an incredible year for Rocky Mountain Youth Corps. Not only are we navigating a global pandemic, but we are celebrating our 25th anniversary of service to the people and places of New Mexico. 2020 has become a time to reflect on our mission and adjust to new realities. Some of those new realities include developing new field protocols for our crews to keep them safe while we navigate COVID-19, we have adjusted our crew sizes to reduce the risk of spread and we have revised our required PPE to keep our AmeriCorps members, staff and community members safe. We have also made some difficult decisions, we have canceled 14 summer crews due to COVID-19 as the ongoing delays to our start dates did not allow for a productive season. In addition, we decided to cancel Pathways 2020 in order to protect the health and safety of the staff, crews and the community.
Nonetheless, we are not cancelling our dedication to Corpsmembers who are making a difference in New Mexico. As you read this, 11 crews are preparing to get back to service by building trails, thinning overgrown forests, restoring sensitive landscapes, preserving historic buildings and training service dogs.
Although we must cancel Pathways, we still rely on your support to maintain our programs during this very challenging time. That is why we are asking for a $1,000 donation in lieu of a sponsorship. Your donation will earn your business the following acknowledgements:
Rocky Mountain Youth Corps needs you now more than ever, we are 25 years in and we are not going to slow down for another 25 more years.
